About this document
A trademark assignment agreement records that one party transfers a mark to another. It identifies the mark exactly as used or registered, lists registration details, and says what goes with it: the goodwill of the business, the right to sue for past misuse, and anything else such as domain names, social accounts and artwork.
This blank form is completed by hand and signed by assignor and assignee. The assignor gives limited confirmations and says expressly what it does not promise about the mark's strength. Whether and how an assignment must be recorded with a trademark office, and what the office asks for, differ, so check with the relevant office or a lawyer.
