Legal Considerations
What an electronic signature needs in order to do its job depends on the document, on the transaction behind it, and on the US federal and state law that applies.
Some documents carry requirements beyond a signature. Others have to be notarized, and signing electronically does not take the place of notarization where a document needs it.
If your document needs to be notarized, Notary Services is the service for that, and is separate from signing.
If you are not sure what your document needs, Get Legal Help and start with what you are trying to do.
