- An arrangement that crosses a border is subject to the law of more than one country, and what is required — registrations, filings, withholding, employment formalities, customs and language — differs in each. This file is a complete blank-field document recording what the parties choose; it does not tell you what either country requires, and it is not a substitute for advice in each of them.

About this document
A cross-border employment agreement is for an employer established in one country and an employee who works in another. It records where each is and where the work is done, who the employer is for local purposes, the position, hours and time zones, pay and currency, deductions and contributions, tax, the employee's right to work, time off, benefits and insurance, equipment, travel, confidentiality, which law is chosen, where disputes go, ending the employment and what happens if the employee moves country.
This blank form is completed by hand and signed by the employer, the employee and a local employer or agent where one is used. It records what the parties choose and does not tell either what the countries require. The form itself says the place where the employee works may apply its own rules whatever the agreement says. How a worker is engaged, taxed and protected across a border is complicated and differs by country, so take advice in each country before using it.

Questions
About the cross-border employment documents
The form records the law the parties choose and says the place where the employee works may apply its own rules whatever the agreement says. Which rules apply depends on the countries involved, so take advice in each.
