About this document
An employee privacy notice explains what personal information an employer holds about the people who work for it, where it comes from, why it is held, who sees it inside and outside the organisation, who handles it for the employer, how it is kept secure, how long it is kept, monitoring, automated decisions and what staff can ask for.
This blank form is completed by the employer and issued to staff. It does not make an employer compliant with any privacy or data-protection law, and should describe only what you really do. What a law requires an employer to tell staff, and what rights staff have over their information, depends on the place and the employer, so have a lawyer review it, especially where you monitor or use automated tools.
